Another week has passed and we are that much closer to the end of the school year and our move to NY.  We are growing weary of the separation and the eventuality of the move is really setting in. It has been a busy couple of weeks at school. Last Friday was the annual first grade  Mother’s day tea, a delightful first grade tradition complete with fine china and very fine first grade writings and recitations.  I hope to post some pictures soon. I forgot my camera and I felt like an alcoholic without a drink.  Some very gracious mothers lent me their camera when I saw a good shot and another dear friend actually printed me some photos. I haven’t printed pictures in a long time. The other day I saw a great ad. It was for a photo printer and it  said, “Don’t let your kids grow up to be jpegs.”  My kids are all jpegs at the moment!  Basil had Roman Day today and it was fabulous. The third graders wore togas played Roman games, feasted on Roman fare and recited Anthony’s Oration by William Shakespeare. The creme de la creme were the Roman day projects. Basil and his friend Nathan prepared a Roman Time line during the life of Christ. Enjoy your weekend.
