Christ is Born! Glorify Him!
Nativity of Our Lord (explanation of the icon)Church of the Nativity, Bethelem
The star marks the place believed to be
the actual site of Christ’s birth. (Fr. and I were blessed to visit there several years ago.)“Your birth, O Christ our God, dawned the light of knowledge upon the earth. For by Your birth those who adored stars, were taught by a star, to worship You, the Sun of Justice and to know You, Orient from on High. O Lord, glory to You.”
~Hymns from the Feast of the Nativity Of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ

Hello and Merry Christmas! Thank you for your comments on my blog. I am American from Greek heritage and have lived abroad and worked for the Church abroad. Here is a time line of Church history and a good link for common questions Protestant Christians ask about the Orthodox Church and Orthodox theology. There are lots of good articles and explanations on that link. HTH
