By golly if THAT ain’t the TRUTH!!! I just stumbled across this article and I had never thought about it before but it sure is true! They certainly don’t make it easy or comfortable for mothers in America. Now if it were men I am SURE it would be a different story. I can’t believe I never thought about this before (the men thing, that is). Maybe because I had my first child in England and the whole breastfeeding thing is so different over there. But La-Z-Boys and big screen TVs, I am certain that would be the case, if the tables were turned!

My in-laws made comments the last time I was with them about a lady in a car next to us who was nursing her baby. They were upset that she didn’t have a blanket over her. (Mental note to self if I ever am blessed to giving birth to another baby and get to nurse again.) I didn’t see any exposed flesh and even if I did – come on, it’s the most natural thing in the world not to mention the most innocent! I really don’t fathom it. I want to know why a MOTHER’S breast exposed to FEED an infant brings people to their knees but the half naked lady on the billboard along side of the highway does not get the same comments. Or all the bra and panty commericals on t.v. while watching with their grandchildren. I just really don’t understand the perspective. Sure, I always drapped the blanket when nursing out in public but this lady was in her own car for goodness sake. Who cares!!!!
Oy vey! I knew I was going to regret clicking on that link. It’s just so frustrating.
That’s Megan’s new town (or that area at least) and she just had a baby. Watch out Megan! Or maybe I should say, “Watch out Williamson County!”
