Thank you all for your prayers. There are moments when the evil one is still at work. However today at Church we had some very positive feedback about Fr. teaching the children in Church. Please continue to pray for the few individuals that have left the Church over this issue. They are really missing out. Pray that the Holy Spirit will guide them back to the Church and to the TRUTH. Thank you again. We can feel your prayers.
Thankfully I am able to take darvocet which dulls the pain, due to the pubic symphysis dysfunction just a bit. Making it possible for me to get out of bed just long enough to attend the Divine Liturgy and receive Holy Communion in preparation for the birth of our baby. Today’s Gospel was a great reminder to me of my personal responsibility as an Orthodox Christian and a Presvytera.
TODAY’S GOSPEL READING
2nd Sunday of Luke
The Reading is from Luke 6:31-36
The Lord said, “And as you wish that men would do to you, do so to them. If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to receive as much again. But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for he is kind to the ungrateful and the selfish. Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful.”

(((((Lisa))))) I’m so glad that you had a positive experience today. I know you needed and deserve it!
And glad you’re able to take something for the pain! It’s so hard at the end, let alone with something like that! Not too much longer to go.
Continuing prayers for you, your family, and your parish.
Yes, that Gospel made me think a bit, too. Oh dear. I am glad you are able to take some meds. Will keep praying.
Thank you all so much. I am so grateful to have an online Orthodox community to support me in my spiritual walk.
I don’t understand why people are leaving your church b/c of Fr. teaching the dc? Did I miss a post about this?
I am glad you are able to take something for your pain. Now let that baby hurry and get here :)
Thanks Kelly. :heartbeat: Here is the post where I talk about the new SS program. As far as the baby I have an appt. in the morning if I am dilated they will induce me on Wed or next Monday when my dr. is on call. I am not due until the 19th but I am in so much pain that the dr. said she would have no problem with inducing at 38 weeks. However Fr. has a clergy/laity conference next week from the 11th-14th and I would really like to see him go. It is important for him to be there and I know it is good for him to be there. So for the sake of the Church and for the love we have for our Bishop and our parish I think I will just hold this little one in another week. What is another week at this point. :) I have never gone into spontaneous labour and it would be a real blessing to have this baby in God’s timing. I much perfer for the birthdate to be God’s decision. So we will see what he has in store for the birth of this little one. With Jonah I was 42 weeks and still needed to be induced. Jonah was 10.9lbs :spinning:
