  • Warning- this post is not for those with a weak stomach.

Thanks guys, for your prayers and concern.. This morning I have the worst sore throat I can ever remember- I am so glad we all went to the Dr. yesterday and got antibiotics. Only 4 of us have managed to take them though.  Last night, was so not pretty.  RIGHT after I posted, Maria~Angelica was sick in her crib all over her pretty handmade knit blankets etc…She was terrified! She had never thrown up before and didn’t know what was happening. This went on for several hours- along with Nicholas being sick,  miserable and feverish. Jonah had bounced back a little so he wanted all my attention to entertain him- it makes for a less peaceful cuddle in bed, when everyone is NOT equally lethargic. Basil was very helpful, thank goodness, because Fr. was at a parish council meeting and there was a lot for just one person to take care of.  Basil helped me do several loads of laundry and ran for whatever I asked of him, more towels, wet wipes, fresh clothes- Maria~Angelica was only interested in being sick right into the crook of my arm- I went through several nightgowns- but funny enough and this is gross- be warned- even her throw up smelled sweet and then I figured out it was because she had eaten a cinnamon roll that afternoon.  Once Fr. came home he got Jonah settled, Basil went off to bed, Nicholas fell asleep in our bed for the night and Maria~Angelica  and I watched the same episode, over and over again,  on Kids on Demand, of *Yo Gabba Gabba- the most inane show for children- but she loves it and in a very strange way- it is growing on me. Once everyone was asleep we did have a peaceful night and everyone is still sleeping now. It has finally caught up with Fr. and he won’t be able to go to his meeting in Detroit today. I know he is disappointed about that- but want can you do- even priests get sick….

*I could make an entire post about Yo Gabba Gabba – there must be an inside joke with the writers of this show and a college audience under the influence of illegal substances that must really enjoy it.  Be sure and check out Elijah Woods- Frodo- doing his dancey-dance….

  • Oh my!!! How awful for all of you!  I hate all the cleanup that comes with the stomach flu.  It’s just awful.  The one good thing, is that usually with that kind of sickness it is over fairly quickly.  It doesn’t drag out for a week or anything.  So I hope that you all feel better really soon!!!!

  • Oh you poor things. {{{hugs}}} and prayers

Regarding Yo Gabba Gabba, for some reason it appeals to Joshua too — and he’s a 7yo!!

  • So sorry……I”ll keep you all in my prayers.

  • I hope you all get to feeling better, being sick is no fun.

I had never heard of Yo Gabba Gabba until just now, all I can say is weird.

  • Poor, poor thing. And it is so true, everyone needs to be equally lethargic.

  • Oh, my! I’m praying for you all!
The Yo Gabba Gabba~ hmmm. Well, I guess Elijah must really be in shape from climbing all over Mount Doom.

  • Oh my goodness that is one annoying theme song… it’s worse than SpongeBob SquarePants… eek!
