Everyone’s looking beautiful as always! What is the veggie dish?
I want some of that yummy food! I have got to get some dinner time with your lovely Greek family!
YUM! Yes, I am drooling. Your family always seems to know how to have a good time! I LOVE the nutcracker ballet too!!! I am amazed that my kids can listen to the music and tell me what part of the story the music piece is in. Bravo to you for exposing them to such wonderful aspects of culture! Look at your precious Maria~Angelica! Super cute!! I love that kissy kissy stage they go through with big brothers. My Chloe has changed now were she kisses ME all the time. lol Your pics were all precious and so good to “see” you all. Everyone looks great!
I will keep you posted on our travel plans… we are making final arrangements of our trip… I’ll message you soon.
How’s that for an eclectic comment?! lol
Love them all, especially those top two! Precious!
Yes, what is that lovely veggie dish?
Well, Sarah, I am all about having a good time! Especially if includes a good dinner a great company! I hope we get to break bread someday!
Tracy and Linda, the same goes for you! When are you going two to come visit us and bring us some of the AZ sun?
That is my version of a vegetable tian. I saute the onions on the stove top, in that pan and then layer the vegetables in a circle pattern. One layer of sliced potato, zucchini, tomato drizzled with olive oil, seasoned with dill, a sprinkle of sea salt, garlic salt, or whatever seasonings you prefer and ground black pepper – cook at 375 for about 35-40 minutes- covered loosely with foil then sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan or Gruyere and cook for another 20 minutes uncovered. The Greeks call this briam. The French version is always made in a circle pattern and tian is the name of the earthenware in which it is traditional cooked. Basically, it is baked vegetables- for us Americans! You can use any vegetable you like. Some weeks I make it with eggplant, or yellow squash, red peppers etc.. it is pretty versatile a good winter food and a good fasting food- you don’t have to add cheese- the Greek’s don’t. Briam is a staple in the Greek/Mediterranean diet.
I’m going to have to make it – looks so good! And hey, you need to come here to enjoy the sunshine! My son is outside right now riding his bicycle and I was just outside in a teeshirt and crop sweats. It’s a little cool, but still nice and sunny. I’ll be complaining again this summer though!
RYC: My kids are thriving in public school, to my amazement. My kindergardener is learning to read and write better than I could have taught him. They get to go to musicals and have such a wide variety of subjects that I couldn’t have done including music and art. I regret they won’t have Latin
Socialization is the only problem – exactly what people critize when you hs. There’s probably no getting around problems when you put 20-some 5 year olds together. Anyway – your boys will probably do really well either way. The important thing is they have a solid, loving home.
If you call me again and my machine comes on go ahead and talk – I screen calls a lot.
Too cute!
Today (Dec. 16) is an very important day for the Ron Paul campaign. One that will surely make history. It is the anniversary of the Boston Tea Party. Over two-hundred years ago, American colonialists dumped tea into the Boston harbor to send a loud message to the British: “Enough oppression!” Today. tens of thousands of Paul supporters will dump millions of dollars into the Ron Paul campaign, sending another loud message to the media, other candidates, and America’s voters: “Enough oppression!” We need Ron Paul. You know we need Ron Paul. More than just providing financial support for the Ron Paul campaign, the “Tea Party” money-bomb will force the media to turn its head towards Paul’s oft-mocked campaign.
They try to point to low poll numbers. What they forget is that even Reagan polled poorly in 1980. They forget that even in 2004, John Kerry was polling at only 4% before the Iowa primaries. And yet Reagan dominated the 1980 election. John Kerry dominated Iowa, with 38% of the vote. Don’t let the poll numbers fool you. The Ron Paul Revolution is marching forward with a vigor unmatched by any campaign of the past two decades. You can become part of this history day by donating here.

Great family photos! Nancy and I would be glad to drop by and help you eat some of that fabulous Greek food. Obviously the main ingredient is love. If only we lived nearby….
