  •  ~Making Memories~

We had such a good time while my aunt and cousin were here. It was nice to have their company; now my Dad just has to get that new knee of his up and running so my parents can come visit. The boys had a really good time and they are getting more and more familiar with Niagara Falls. Maria~Angelica was so sweet with her Godmother and great aunt, she really misses them and keeps asking for them. She is at such a cute age and I am glad they got to experience that. We miss you so much! Come back soon and bring Nouna Betsy , Nouno Bill and Nouno Gary!

“Cave on the Winds”- on the American Side Do you like our special sandals? We all looked like, and felt like, corn on the cob from KFC in our plastic yellow bags. It was a really hot day so the spray from the falls felt fantastic!

  • ~Cave of the Winds~

My Thea Voula (my mom’s sister) and my cousin Sandra (one of Maria~Angelica’s Godmothers- we miss you Betsy!) are visiting us from Florida. Yesterday we went to Cave of the Winds on the American side of Niagara Falls.  It was amazingly beautiful! We were totally drenched but it was such a hot day it was refreshing! Maria~Angelica was carried by her dad and she had her little hands folded the whole way through.

    Cave of Winds Tour

Soak up the experience of being closer to the waters of Niagara Falls than you thought possible, on a spectacular Niagara Falls tour. Your journey begins with an elevator ride 175 feet into the Niagara Gorge. Then, clad in a souvenir rain poncho and sandals, you’ll follow a tour guide over wooden walkways to the Hurricane Deck, less than 20 feet from the torrents of Bridal Veil Falls. On the deck, you’ll experience tropical storm-like conditions, getting doused with the spray from the rushing waters.See a side of the falls few people get to experience by taking the Cave of the Winds journey after sunset, one of the most awe-inspiring Niagara Falls tours available to the public. Follow the rainbow of colors illuminating the falls right up to the Hurricane Deck for a breathtaking adventure you won’t forget.

Each spring, the Cave of the Winds tour opens to offer the Gorge Trip to the permanent deck just 75 feet from the base of the falls. Monday through Friday, you’ll see skilled workers rebuilding the decking that will allow summer visitors to reach the Hurricane Deck. This walkway is removed every November and reassembled each spring so it won’t be damaged by winter weather.
