~Pray for this precious child and her family~
Is this not the most adorable little girl? Little four year old Jillian Bettendorf is the dd of an internet acquaintance and I can’t stop thinking about her. You can read her story on Sarah’s blog, “Heartwomb” or see more about this neat family on their family blog.
Heavenly Father, physician of our souls and bodies, Who have sent Your only-begotten Son and our Lord Jesus Christ to heal every sickness and infirmity, visit and heal also Your servant Jillian from all physical and spiritual ailments through the grace of Your Christ. Grant her patience in this sickness, strength of body and spirit, and recovery of health. Lord, You have taught us through Your word to pray for each other that we may be healed. I pray, heal Your servant Jillian and grant to her the gift of complete health. For You are the source of healing and to You I give glory, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.
O Lord our God, Who by a word alone did heal all diseases, Who did cure the kinswoman of Peter, You Who chastise with pity and heal according to Your goodness; Who are able to put aside every sickness and infirmity, do You Yourself, the same Lord, grant aid to Your servant Jillian and cure her of every sickness of which she is grieved; and send down upon her Your great mercy, and if it be Your will, give to her health and a complete recovery; for You are the Physician of our souls and bodies, and to You do we send up Glory: to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Both now and forever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.

Lord, have mercy!
I cannot get that sweet little girl off my mind, and I keep thinking about Katie and how on earth is she holding things together.
You are right, she is so sweet!! Her looks reminds me a lot of your Maria~Angelica. I agree…Lord have mercy.
ryc: We have a lot in common lately!
I can hardly believe the girls I have now are the same little, frightened twins I first brought home. It’s amazing to look back at the last three years and see how much they have healed physically and emotionally. Btw, I added pics since you left your comment of my very first moment meeting my girls. The first pic was when they first handed them to me.
ryc: The truth of the story is that Phoebe was staring at Caleb because she was sooo afraid of him. Chloe was looking down at Jared holding her foot because of the same thing. They snapped a couple of pictures before the tears started to flow again. The girls had never seen older kids before that we know of because it was a baby orphanage and when they turn 3 they move to another orphanage. We were all joyful and excited but the girls would burst into complete sobs through the entire experience. Thankfully, we had our translators with us to sing Russian lullabies to them in order to help ease their insecurities a bit. I really do feel the boys bonded immediately. Although, they nor I expected the girls to react so frightened. The translators taught the boys to play, “cookoo” which is peek a boo to us. That is what you are seeing in the pics. The girls just stared wide eyed at the boys not sure what to think.
Btw, I cannot believe how good you are at remembering names and even the faces of my children!! I’m impressed.
They were 15 months old. They only wore clothes sized 6-9 months and could not walk yet. What you see there is lots of layers! It was soooo cold in that orphanage. You can see even the translators, who were used to the no heat situation, kept their coats on the entire time.
Praying!
Amen!
That little girl is beautiful. I pray that she heals quickly and is out playing in the sunshine this spring.
