Yesterday Fr. was out of town at a Clergy retreat and the boys had early dismissal at 1:30, in anticipation of a snow storm. I pick Jonah up at 11:15 and the older boys go to lunch at 11:50 so I went ahead and picked them up too. The snow had just started coming down and I should of headed home, but I had to go south (20 mins) to pick up Maria~Angelica at my mother’s house (we live 20 miles north of school), grab some groceries and provisions – for the fun that was to ensue, hot chocolate, cookies, wood burning fire, yummy home cooked meals, snow day, etc… well….when we left Kroger there was 3 inches of snow on the ground. We left my parent’s house at 2:45pm and pulled into our driveway at 5:45pm to 7 and 1/2 inches on snow! Yes, what normally would have been a 30 minute trip took us three hours, not one road had been cleaned and we drove home in the thick of the snow storm. I am so grateful that nothing happened to us, the visibility was really low but we made it. And yes, the boys broke into the groceries!

scary, but fun! Beautiful pictures.
Hey, next time you will be driving by sinking jesus let me know so you can give me a call to meet up with you! Maybe you can make a pit stop and we can grab something to eat. I will be in the area until June. :sunny:
okay that made me actually laugh out loud!!! I’d love to, but I’ll check and make sure most of that yucky snow is gone. I think Riley would really like Maria-Angelica.
I cannot believe you are getting more snow than we are!!! Can the boys make us a snowman for us?
We miss our snowman making snow this winter!!
Your home is so pretty!! :sunny:
beautiful pictures! enjoy the snow!
What a beautiful home you have!! Even prettier covered in snow
Glad you got home safe!
What a beautiful house!!!!!!
I am so glad you are safe! We got 4 inches. My girls would have loved 7.5!
I like the front porch!
These pictures are absolutely stunning. I LOVE them. Just beautiful. BUT, I don’t know how you drove in it. I would have been terrified. I honestly couldn’t have driven in it. But I’ve never really had to drive in it. Your snowy days with hot chocolate, cookies and the fireplace sound heavenly. Enjoy yourselves!
That is some SERIOUS snow! And you’re right, when its fallng you don’t always have someone clearing the roads. A long involved trip, yet you made it home safe and sound.
Glad you all had safe driving, from yourself and the other drivers.
I LOVE your porch! Just lovely! The snow in the pictures .. the flakes are so big. I can’t drive in snow! I refuse to leave the house if it’s snowing. I kind of drive my dh crazy but I have been in a winter accident before and it’s NOT fun.
Thanks for your comment and subscribing to me! You seem like a LOVELY lady with a wonderful family. I look forward to getting to know you better. Are you planning on having any more children? I would love just one more but my Dh isn’t interested. We have 3 and they are really great kids.. I just adore babies though. I would feel complete with one more..I was one of 4 kids growing up and there was always something to do, someone to play with. And as adults we all have kids and the gatherings are always so special. Take care,
Britt
GOSH ,YOU ARE QUICK!!
That’s wonderful! I have a friend in my old town who is due with her 7 th child. Every one of her children are gorgeous well behaved kids and her DH just bursts with pride for the whole family! It’s lovely to see.
What great pictures. I received your email. May God bless you all at your new church.
ryc: Go here and put in your zipcode and then put that you want “all” miles from that zip code. That will enable you to see some vans that are for sale. Make sure you look for PASSENGER vans not the cargo ones. I can’t remember if I saw one in your state or not when I looked. The other thing is call around to the Dodge dealers in your area and ask as they might be able to get one shipped in. We were able to get a new 2006 for less than they normally cost because the 07′s are coming out in May I think. We drove ours around all day today and loved it. The kids sit up so high and can see everything. The back seats are so comfy too!! I go back and sit right next to the kids now that I have a shoulder belt to use!
When you are looking remember the pricing on these things are so different because it all depends on the options in each individual van. These are normally cargo vans here in the US even though they use them all the time in Europe as passenger vans. Dana has more experience with the Sprinter since I have only had mine for two days. I am sure if you email her off of her site she would be happy to answer any questions you might have as well.
Happy Shopping!
Looks like more snow is in the forecast! :giggle:
