The divided condition of Protestantism today did not exist in the first 1500 years of Church history. The sects that did exist were clearly considered to be outside of the Church. And the divisions that occurred, particularly between the east and west, resulted in what both sides historically considered, a separation from the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church.
There is no way modern Protestant interpretation can be supported patristically outside of modern-day Protestantism.”

Absolutely. If I didn’t think Christ gave the truth to the Apostles, then I’d be stupid to believe anything any denomination teaches. If I believed what they teach without beliving there ever was any truth to it, then I’d be following a bunch of lies. To say that no one has all the truth is to say that everyone has part lies. But that is contra scripture, which says God’s word will not return void; the gates of Hell shall not prevail; and that the Holy Spirit would guard and protect the Church. To believe that no denomination holds all the truth…well, that’s just sad, isn’t it? It means that we believe in a God who cannot protect his Body or the Truth for his Body.
I refuse to believe that any longer. Jesus is the Truth. Jesus imparted Truth to the Apostles, who then passed it down to each generation so that we still have it available today–in the same fulness as Jesus gave it. Nothing new can be added, and nothing can be taken away from the fulness of Truth.

The TRUTH is the TRUTH and the Church is the Church. Christ and the apostles had the TRUTH and it is still available to use today; Glory be to GOD! It is sad that the evil one has seen to it that there are now 26,000 variations to distract us from the TRUTH.
