It is amazing how music can change your mood. I was in the most miserable of moods this morning when I had to drag my very tired , very pregnant, aching self into the shower and get ready to go get Nicholas from kindergarten. The minute I popped the latest Green Day cd in I felt 100% better. My lousy attitude change immediately. It isn’t often I get to rock out in the car by myself. I actually can’t even remember the last time I was in the car alone. Just getting in the car kills my leg let alone driving the car. It isn’t exactly like when I was 19 and driving a really cool burnt orange 1983 528i BMW with black leather seats and a sunroof around campus. But my 1996 racing green Town and Country mini van does have an awesome stereo and for a half hour there I visited my younger years. Thank you Billie Joe and co. for cheering me up! Rock on!

Green Day! They rock and so do you!
I didnt know Green Day was so popular among the married mothers demographic. I guess i was wrong. By the way Presvytera, I found this chant from Vatopaidiou Monastery on Mt. Athos and I think you will enjoy it. Athonite chanting at its best
I wouldn’t have taken you for a Green Day fan! I do love their song ‘Boulevard of Broken Dreams’…I rock out to that on the treadmill a lot.
That is a great link Romanos! Could you post the http address? When I click on it, it opens the realplayer, but I do not know how to get the http address. Thanks!

Green Day. :goodjob: I’d like to see an A/G ministers wife who would ever publically admit to listening to that.

ROFLOL!!!!!! Ok…Im speechless. :giggle: You know…I LOVED GreenDay, back in High School. In fact I dubbed my brother Dookie, though, he didnt know what it meant yet. :lookaround: The other day I found a TV station that plays old 80s and early 90s videos….and they played Green Day, and I had to stop and watch, and I had forgotten how fun they are….but then I felt all guilty. How funny is it, that this entry gets such a huge amount of comments!! :giggle: I think you caught everyone by surprise!! LOL…perhaps you are my Godmother, not just to yell at me to buy a new skirt, but to loosen me up. Ive only been listening to classical music, and some jazz….and I thought jazz and blues were really pushing the envelope. :fun: Love ya!
LOL Alana!!! I was wondering when you were going to see this post! I hope I didn’t scandalize you too much. :littlekiss:
Buy a new skirt and pull out your Green Day cds and your U2 and your Coldplay and your Flaming Lips and your John Mayer and your Smashing Pumpkins and and and ………. :spinning:
You know one of the biggest fans of music I know is our good friend Bishop Savas of Troas , the chancellor of the GOA. He was such a great influence on me while I was growing up in the 80s and early 90s. He was my HS Sunday School teacher and then we were both students in England at the same time. Bp. Savas then still a lay person, was studying in Oxford and I was a student in London. I learned from his example and others that it is possible to be a balanced Orthodox Christian who lives in the world but is not of the world. Here is a neat article about Bishop Savas.
:sunny: Loosen up Alana , :sunny: Love your Godmother
All I can sy Lisa is You So Totally Rock!!! :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob: :)
